035 UMBERTO – Comfortable brown-gray is a subtle dark brown paint shade at its darkest. The subtle nuances of the shade create a calming atmosphere on indoor surfaces. Spatially the atmospheric dark, almost black shade brings softness to the space – as if the corners and edges disappear and the shade envelops you comfortably. Dark 035 UMBERTO brings coziness to a space without making it dark. 035 UMBERTO gives walls and ceilings a softly light-reflecting matt finish.
The elegant warm dark background is a classic choice for living room or bedroom surfaces. A sophisticated dark shade pairs perfectly with a muted light, such as the other shade 034 ELENA designed by Ulla Koskinen. The combination of light and dark is strong, timeless, and captivating. Soothing 035 UMBERTO also enjoys the company of other dark shades such as burgundy 025 OSCAR. As an accent color, this shade goes well with all neutral whites and with the classic colors 029 JACK, 032 KAREN, LB3 MIO, and 018 ERNEST. Add color to moldings or combine them as a two-tone wall. Suitability
Cover Story's plastic-free interior paints are suitable for unpainted and previously painted panel, wood, board and stone surfaces indoors. The paints are also suitable for cardboard, brick and rendered surfaces. Thanks to their excellent breathability, Cover Story paints are also great for interior log surfaces. For previously unpainted surfaces, we recommend 000 PRIMER primer.
Coverage
One 0,9 liter can is enough for one coat on a surface of 7-10m² and 3,6 liter paint can is enough for one coat on a surface of 30-40m². The 9,0 liter can will cover about 75-100m² once. In most cases, two coats of paint will achieve a perfect finish. Remember to double the area to be painted when calculating the amount of paint.
Directions for use
Stir the paint thoroughly before applying. The surface must be dry and clean, the temperature min. +5 C°. When painting a previously painted surface, Cover Story paint does not require a separate primer.The paint is suitable for rolling, brushing or spraying. The second coat of paint can be applied on top of the first coat after 1-2 hours.
Storage
An unopened paint can can be stored without deterioration for several years. After it's been opened, it can be kept in a warm, dry place with the lid tightly closed. Please note that the water-based paint must not freeze.
Recycling
Recycle empty paint cans and metal paint tray in metal recycling. Dry brushes and rollers are disposed into mixed waste. Recycle liquid paint and paint waste according to your local recycling guidelines. When well maintained, Cover Story's painting supplies will last from one application to the next.
Care instructions
Dirt and stains can be wiped off with a damp rag, water and mild detergent.

Do I need a primer?
Priming is usually only necessary for the first treatment of a surface. When painting on top of painted surfaces, no primer is needed with Cover Story paints. Our paints have excellent coverage and in most of the cases you will need only two coats of tinted paint to achieve the perfect smooth finish.
If you are painting a new wall or ceiling for the first time, an old, untreated surface, or if you are changing the color of the wall from very dark to very light, it is a good idea to put a primer under the topcoat.
