Product information and sustainability
Cover Story's plastic-free paints are a safe choice for your home walls and ceilings. Praised by professionals, our paint quality and excellent coverage will ensure a beautiful, rich finish to your interior surfaces.
Plastic-free paint does not form a plastic film on the painted surface but allows the structures to breathe. Finally, no environmentally harmful plastics end up in the nature.
Zero-VOC and odorless paint is safe and pleasant to use indoors. Cover Story paints are water-based, which means they do not contain solvents that release harmful volatile organic compounds into the indoor air. There is also no ammonia, formaldehyde or carcinogens in the paint, and therefore it does not smell.
The opaque CS Signature full-matt finish softens the atmosphere of the room and creates a beautiful surface on walls and ceilings that gently reflects light from the summer sun to the winter darkness.Breathable plastic-free paint allows structures to breathe and thus prevents moisture damage such as mould. Thanks to their breathability, Cover Story's interior paints are also ideal for wood and log surfaces.
The excellent quality of the paint guarantees a successful result. The paint's coverage and spreadability, praised by professionals, make painting effortless and give walls and ceilings a beautifully smooth full-matt finish with low light reflectance.
Samples painted with genuine paint make decision-making easy. The A4-sized, peel-and-stick samples help to observe how the shade looks in different lighting conditions and at different times of the day - the quality and quantity of light have a significant impact on how we perceive color. The shade models are made with genuine Cover Story paints, so the shade is guaranteed to be the same as the actual paint.

FAQ
How long will it take to get my order?
Shipping time varies between locations. Samples will be at your door in 1–4 business days and paints in 3–7 business days.
We deliver every order right to your home door with free delivery.
How much paint do I need?
The amount of paint required for one coat can be estimated by multiplying the width of the surface to be painted by its height. Be sure to then double this number, as you will get the best result with two coats of paint.
One 3.6 liter paint can is enough for one coat on a surface of 30-40m². The 9.0 liter can covers about 70-100m² surface once.
Do I need a primer?
Priming is usually only necessary for the first treatment of a surface. When painting on top of painted surfaces, no primer is needed with Cover Story paints. Our paints have excellent coverage and in most of the cases you will need only two coats of tinted paint to achieve the perfect smooth finish.
If you are painting a new wall or ceiling for the first time, an old, untreated surface, or if you are changing the color of the wall from very dark to very light, it is a good idea to put a primer under the topcoat. You can conveniently order our plastic-free primer from our online store - look for 000 PRIMER.
Which surfaces is the paint suitable for?
With our plastic-free interior wall and ceiling paints, you can paint unpainted and previously painted paneling, wood, plasterboard and stone surfaces indoors. The paints are also suitable for cardboard, brick and rendered surfaces. Thanks to their excellent breathability, Cover Story paints are also great for interior log surfaces.
